BIRTH SONGS –
Its an Easy and Comfortable technique that a mother can use during birth
to self comfort and center herself and her baby.
As a mother of four children, giving birth four times has allowed me the opportunity to experience many different pain-relieving and centering techniques. By the time I gave birth to my youngest daughter, I had come to realize that a certain way of vocalizing during the birthing process was an extremely effective method for relieving pain and calming myself.
When Rochelle House first suggested her birth-song technique during labor, I wasn’t sure I would remember to use it. I am here to testify that this was what got me through both deliveries.–Dawn Clement
In a BirthSongs group class you will spend time in a warm, fun, accepting, and loving environment, learning to prepare for birth through the use of music during pregnancy and through out your birth. We can get comfortable making sounds with our voices, singing to our unborn child, and learning about soothing our newborns with songs, as well as talking about the experience of being pregnant and being a mother.
